WASH activity in community

Ongoing programme

Ghana WASH Activity

We implement comprehensive Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) initiatives, integrating them with targeted hand hygiene promotion programs across diverse settings such as communities, schools, and health facilities. Our WASH work supports better health outcomes and dignity for everyone.

What we do

  • Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) to help communities achieve open-defecation-free status.
  • Hand hygiene promotion in communities, schools and health facilities.
  • Social and behaviour change communication (SBCC) for WASH.
  • Support for improved sanitation facilities and management where needed.

Where we work

We deliver WASH activities in rural and underserved communities, schools and health facilities across our areas of operation. Programmes are designed with local stakeholders and aligned with national WASH priorities.

Impact

Better sanitation and hand hygiene reduce diarrhoea and respiratory illnesses, improve dignity and support overall community health. We publish updates on our WASH work in our publications.
